Simple, Natural, and Beautiful – Tammy and Steve’s Wedding

How do you know when you have met your soul mate?  Is there a soul mate that is devinely created for each and every one of us?  Well I can say this… if there is, then I am positive that Tammy and Steve are meant to be.  They are so cute together!

They day started out for them with Steve’s parents getting into a car wreck.  Luckily nobody was seriously injured, but the mother of the groom had a nice little swollen wrist that was causing her a small bit of pain.  Come to find out a couple of days after the wedding, she had actually broken it.  I’m so happy that her injuries were not more severe.

A very beautiful, nervous bride, a very confident groom, and a house FULL of loving friends and family made this day spectacular!  The bride had no idea what to expect.  She kept looking at me every step of the way asking me what to do next.  I guess when you are a wedding photographer, and have attended as many weddings as I have, one assumes that you know what you are talking about.  But Tammy didn’t need me to tell her what to do.  She was doing beautifully all on her own.  The day was filled with very special items representing something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.  A bracelet from over 100 years ago that was loaned to her by her mother, and a Florida Gators garter that was VERY blue, proudly given to her by her father all made the day complete.

She grew her own flowers for her wedding in her back yard.  She knew she wanted everything to be natural and simple because that is who she is!  Every piece of the wedding from the decorations on the table that lay next to the cake, to every article she wore on her body, had a significant meaning for her and someone in her family.  And as the father of the bride choked into tears as he gave her away, Tammy and Steve said, “I DO” in this simple yet beautiful outdoor wedding, and started a life of happiness together.

Tammy and Steve… Thank you for allowing me and Scott to be a part of your wedding.  I hope that you have many wonderful years together, and now have an opportunity to breathe!  You did it!  You made it through your day!  Enjoy your sneak peak.  GOD BLESS!
