Nashville Wedding Photographers: Wendy C. Photography – 365 Project “Day 5″

As most of you know, I recently made the decision to home school my eleven year old daughter, Sidney.  I’m not quite sure if that was a good decision or not just yet.  I’ll have to get back with you on that one.  We are still trying to distinguish the difference between mom and teacher.  LOL!

Actually today was a great day for us.  She actually listened, paid attention, participated, and completed her work in a reasonable amount of time.  I’m still looking for some home school resources that she can use online such as questions and answers to certain book titles that she can read on a 5th grade level.  They have accelerated reading programs in our school systems, but I haven’t found where those may be available for home school students.  This is definitely a work in progress.  But we are coming along nicely.  It will be better next year when I start her off at the beginning of the year rather than the middle.

Okay… so this is me today, trying to teach her the four principal parts of verbs.  Have you ever tried paying attention to that?  Try using those verb rules with the word “fall”.  How do you teach a child that the Past Participle rule states that the verb will end with a “d” or an “ed” and will always have a helping verb.  Then you have to follow up with exceptions to those rules.  Ummm hello?  There are one million exceptions!  Who made these rules again?  LOL!

O! O! O! Mrs. Cunningham? I have a question. Can I get extra credit for giving the teacher sugars when I get home?
