Friends and Sunsets
Nashville Wedding Photographer: Wendy C. Photography

I tried to weasel my way out of going.  I’m exhausted, and I have so much to do before I leave to go on my month long leave to visit a friend in Florida!  Joey wanted me to show him my favorite spot for sunsets, and Meagan wanted to join us!… Well actually I asked her to join us!  But when it came time to get ready to go, I just had no motivation!  No drive!  No energy!  But Meagan wasn’t having it.  After a guilt-treatment and a half about wanting to spend time with me before I leave for Florida (forever), I sucked it up, took a deep breath, went upstairs (at 6:00 pm) and got out of my pajamas from THAT MORNING!  FINE!  I’ll go!  But only because I don’t want to be a horrible friend!

After we get there, Joey realizes that his battery on his camera is dead, and he forgot his spare battery at home!  I didn’t know if I should laugh at him or cry for him.  He drove all the way from Gallatin for this!  Luckily Meagan showed up with two cameras, so he was able to pop his media card into her camera and start shooting… even though it was a Nikon!

Can I just say, OH MY GOODNESS!!!”?  I am so glad I didn’t stay at home in my little funky mood and severely wrinkled pajamas.  I am so happy I went up stairs and took off my coffee stained pajama top and replaced it with a frumpy t-shirt (since that was my mood at the time).  Because even though I was in a funk, and even though I just wanted to veg out in front of my television (like I had done all day), I had a fabulous evening!  And it was exactly what I needed!  What fun!  Meagan’s husband kept us entertained with useless information such as, “Did you know that your body weight is less when the moon is full and at its highest?”  Yada yada… something about the gravitational pull!  Oh… and let’s not forget his story of “Chuckee pees on the peperoni”… “Chuckee Cheese and the peperoni” or something like that!  LOL!  Oh my goodness he kept us laughing!

So here’s to sunsets and fabulous friends who know exactly what I need and how to make things better!  I love you guys!

Here are a few pictures from the evening light!

*I have an unhealthy obsession (thanks to my friend Donna) with sun rays and sun flare!  Look Donna… no help from overlays!!
