Calgon Take Me Away

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a pretty hyper person! I’m bouncy, frisky, and very loud… and boy do I like to talk… A LOT!  Sometimes when I am talking to someone, I even feel myself thinking, “God is this girl ever going to shut up?”  Yeah well… it is what it is. You either like me or you don’t!  If you do, I’m probably going to get on your nerves a lot with my insane need to jabber.  (Have I ever told you that my nick name as a child was jabber mouth?… yeah!)

Ok, so I’m spunky!  And I promise I’m getting to the point. So hold your horses!

This morning I had an appointment with my weight loss doctor that I used to go to. I had lost so much weight with this doctor a couple of years ago, but I’m pretty sure I put most of it back on again.  At least I feel like a fatty anyway.  So off I go… with my three year old in tow.  We get to the doctor’s office and Peyton is bouncing from one chair to the other.  She is running her mouth a million miles a second to the other patients in the waiting room while, they too, are trying to fill out paper work just like me.  One of the nurses finally went and got Peyton a bottle of water and some gummy snacks…. SIGHS!  Maybe now she will be quiet and sit still.

YEAH RIGHT!  I am called to the back so that the nurses can take my blood pressure and do my blood work.  Peyton decides to play in the trash can with the BIG RED LINER!  Ummmm.. “No Peyton! Don’t play with needles sweetheart!”  Then the water goes spilling into the floor along with the gummy snacks.  And of course I can’t do a thing about it because there is a needle in my arm!  At this point I feel like a walking talking Calgon commercial!

The nurses were very tolerant. I’m embarrassed beyond words!  And $65 later, I am told that my blood pressure is 145 over 110 and my pulse rate was 111 (whatever that means) and that I can’t be on the weight loss program with my blood pressure that high!

REALLY?  YOU THINK?

So what did I do?  Well… it’s funny actually!  Peyton and I ran to the post office to deliver a few photo orders, and then decided to go eat Mexican food… complete with cheese dip and all!  I’ll show “them” doctors!  But I’m pretty sure that I’m always bouncy and spunky.  That is probably why my blood pressure is so high!  Of course… it could have something to do with the three year old that I get to spend my days with!  How old do you have to be to go to Kindergarten again?  WHEW!

I think I’m ready to disappear with my hubby again for a few days!
