Freedom To Play + Blue

Ms. Caroline called to check on me yesterday, and Wendy told her what a good boy I have been. Wendy also told Ms. Caroline that the most difficult part of this heartworm treatment has been the fact that she has had to keep me in this kennel all day and night. Wendy can tell that I feel great and just want to get out and play. But she has been following directions very carefully so that I can get better. I know Wendy loves me and just wants me to live, but it is so difficult having to watch my foster sisters romp and play in the yard while I am stuck in this crate.

But guess what?! When Ms. Caroline called, she must have told Wendy that it was okay to let me out of my crate for a couple of hours to run and play. I was allowed to go outside with the family without having to be on a leash. I ran and played so hard that I was very happy to go back into my kennel and rest when Wendy said it was time. But not before I played with the kids. We had a nice little game of fetch, and when I got tired, I laid down and chewed on the stick for a while. And the best part of all of this is… my foster sisters, Maddie and Kira, had to stay in the house on their stupid couch in the downstairs den while I played! PAYBACK GIRLS!… although I’m not sure if you look too miserable on that couch.

I really love this family! I hope that Mr. Scott will ask me to stay forever.

Stories like this make my heart melt. I am SO happy to see that Blue is doing so well! I think he should stay too. He looks like he fits right in there. :-)

Blue, you have been such a good boy!! You should have heard the relief in your foster moms voice when I told her it was okay to let you out to play for a little while!! Thanks for being so good!!! Big hugs to you, your foster sisters and BIG dane kisses to your two legged family members!! Love you Wendy!
