Sharing The Love + Saving Some Love For My Readers

People in general should be constantly growing in every aspect of their lives. We should be growing physically, spiritually, and emotionally! If we aren’t growing and moving forward, then why not? When we stop moving forward, that is when we start feeling like we are in a rut, or have that “something is just missing” feeling.

As artists, we are constantly growing both personally and professionally. At least we should be. If we aren’t, then we should take a step back and ask ourselves why as well. Artists create! And unless we are growing, that creation will be stifled! We end up being just another fish in the pond! And when our creativity begins to become stifled, we feel smothered.

I know you’ve probably heard me love on Showit quite a bit! That company is seriously A-MA-ZING! I really have no idea how any type of artist can grow without them because Showit gives us the freedom to grow… to change… to adapt… and to create… THE FREEDOM TO BE ME! The tools they provide for me to create an amazing website that allows me to be ME online has forever changed the way that I do business and interact with my friends and clients! The family of fellow photographers and the knowledge that they have willingly shared with me has been humbling. But it does not stop there! Showit is still moving forward as well, and I’m all in! With the announcement of the PASS Premier tour, my heart is skipping a beat! I seriously can’t wait to learn more about PASS, and how I can “pass” my images to my clients without having to burn a DVD. And the online backup of my images has been something that I have struggled to get a handle on, so yes… I AM STOKED!

I have to also give a little love to Kim over at Madilu Designs! She is super talented when it comes to creating a logo. I recently hired Ms. Kim to design my logo and I know she has to be excited that she is finished with me because I bet I sent my specs back to her for revision at least five times. I thought I knew what sort of logo I wanted, but she kept trying to tell me that I should consider something different because of this reason or that. I didn’t want to listen to her. So she did what I asked her to do, and sent it to me. But when she sent it to me, she also sent me a couple of extra things to look at and consider! In the end… she was right! I loved what she created for me, and her ideas totally trumped mine! Thank you Kim! I promise that when we work on my marketing materials in June, I will trust and listen to you!
