Scott and Wendy C. + We Got Shot

It was time! The same ‘ol yellow brick wall background photos of us that Scott and I have had on our wedding photography website for the past two years had to go. But who in the world was I going to ask to shoot our photos? Scott and I are both uncomfortable in front of the camera. I knew I wanted my photos to look a specific way. And the search for the right photographer with the perfect style for us just seemed never-ending… until this summer when I found Chris and Adrienne Scott!

I had met Chris and Adrienne one time prior to contacting them about our promo shoot. But I knew I had to have THEM and ONLY THEM shoot our photos! Isn’t that funny? I tell brides that all the time. “Hire the photographer you can’t live without!” And that is exactly what I did. When I found Chris and Adrienne online, I knew that I had to have them! After spending hours and days looking through the galleries on their site, I nervously contacted them about shooting our pics. To be honest, I half expected them to laugh at me. But they did not. They replied with enthusiasm and lots of great ideas. And when I expressed how nervous I was about being in front of the camera, Adrienne told me not to worry. “Don’t worry. We got ya!” And she was right! I very quickly became comfortable with them during our session, and Chris had us laughing so hard that it truly is a miracle they ended up with any shots of us that were decent at all.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know Chris and Adrienne. And I know without a shadow of a doubt that I made the right choice when I chose them for our promo session. Not only are they uber talented, but they are uber professional. Spending time with another set of professional photographers, having our photos taken, gave Scott and me an idea of what it is like for our own clients when they shoot with us. I even found myself asking out loud, “What do I do with my hands?”… which is super funny because I always laugh when my clients ask me that.

So be on the lookout over the next couple of weeks. The website and this blog will get a little makeover courtesy of Chris and Adrienne Scott. Their photos will be replacing what is currently up, and we are working on a new “about us” section that will be super fun! I am so excited to finally have some amazing photos that I actually want to show. Now if I can just get over my fear of video cameras and get that promo video made, we’ll be finished!
