Home School Momtographer… WHAT?!

Home School Photographer MomsOh internet! Chaos is among us! Chaos has decided to ram me head on like two speeding trains heading straight for each other on a track. It is not a pretty site, and the anxiety that goes along with it is causing me to eat way too much chocolate… because chocolate makes everything better, right?:)

This week was the beginning of the new school year. Today is only Tuesday and I am already second-guessing my decision to home school Sidney! I am seriously going to mess her up. I am so blessed that I have the opportunity to work in a career that I am so very passionate about while allowing me the freedom to educate my own child at home. Seriously blessed!! But this decision has brought a ton of chaos into our lives because… well if I am being honest it is because I have no idea what I am doing.:)

Home School in TennesseeBut I am strong, and I am determined. I may need to pray for a little discipline and balance… maybe a little time management skills. But I got this! I can do this! Let’s just hope that my daughter can put up with me while her mother learns how to teach her.:)

And maybe if I put enough smiley faces into this post, I will convince you and ME that everything is going to be okay! It is right?… going to be okay?:)

Of course it is going to be okay! Because I know that this is what is best for Sidney.

Who home schools? We need tips! Any words of advice for staying focused? Motivated? Making it fun? Positive? Oh dear internet… totally need tips!

Oh and I have a home school group on Facebook that is especially for photographers who also home school. So if that is you… hit me up for an invite! So far it is proving to be a great place for support and information! It is small and intimate, but you must be a professional photographer who home schools in order to be accepted.:)  <—- Totally just wanted to throw another smiley face in there!

I feel your internal struggle Wendy. I started homeschooling my 2nd grader last year while throwing myself full time into my photography business. We survived and about to begin our 2nd year. I does help having a strong support group though. There are days I live for those outings. :)
