Photography Branding | Wedding Photography Welcome Packet

Back in early January I wrote a blog post about branding your photography business and to brand YOU! And over the last several months of working with Kim at Madilu Designs, and working with Showitfast with my website, I am happy to say that everything has finally come together! And I could not be happier with the outcome!

I knew that when I first started working with Kim, I wanted to brand my photography business based on the type of experience a bride would get with ME. I knew I wanted to brand my business based on a service that I can provide, rather than a product that I might be able to produce. As a matter of fact, I stopped selling prints altogether… unless a bride specifically WANTS me to order prints for her. But the reality is… brides do not want to pay $25 for a single 8×10 print when they know they can pay $1.99 for it at Costco or WalMart. More and more brides are seeking out a wedding photographer who will affordably offer them their digital files. So that is what I do! But it is important for me to brand myself in a way that shows the client what type of experience they will receive with my services. Digital files are a given now! So standing out means branding based on my personality… my services… and the experience that I can provide.

Like I said, I knew I wanted everything to be kept as simple as possible. So I asked Kim to design my welcome packet to be printed all with the same lab. MPIX PRO and Miller’s Lab are my two professional labs of choice. So Kim was able to design everything based on that choice. Every single piece inside the packet was printed with MPIX PRO. The luxe shape sticker was printed at Miller’s Lab. The last thing I want to do is add more stress to my marketing by having to order various pieces from various labs. It was really important to me to keep things simple and elegant!

The welcome packet contains the following:

Welcome Letter: Printed on a 5×7 luxe shape card on pearl paper from Mpix Pro.
Referral Card: Printed on a 5×5 luxe shape card on pearl paper from Mpix Pro. A business card gets attached to this with a glue dot.
Business Cards: Printed on pearl paper from Mpix Pro.

Collections: My collections and pricing are all neatly laid out on a 5×7 flat card, with my A La Carte pricing printed on back. Printed from Mpix Pro
Client Sites: A 5×7 flat card from Mpix Pro that tells the client all about the amazing website that I build for them.
PASS: Printed on the back of the client site piece. Tells the client all about their PASS gallery and how they will download their digital files.
Canvas Gallery Wraps: A featured piece printed on a 5×7 flat card from Mpix Pro that shows pictures of the canvas gallery wraps on one side, and prices on the back.
Wedding Albums: A featured piece printed on a 4.5×5 flat card from Mpix Pro with pictures on one side, and prices on the back.
Stickers: 3×3 Miller’s luxe shape sticker to seal the folded envelope that holds all of the pieces.
Ash Gray Pocket Folder: 5 1/4 x 7 1/4 ordered from Paper Presentation.
