Even though I am a Murfreesboro based photographer, every now and then I get to shoot portraits for people outside of my immediate area. And when I do it is usually something special. Take this family for example…
I met Kimberly Drury of Madilu Designs online a couple of years ago when I contacted her about doing some design work for me. Everybody knows that I am about as indecisive as they come, so needless to say she has done A LOT of design work for me. I think we are now on our third logo? And she has designed my GORGEOUS welcome packets that I give to my brides. Anyway… Kim’s family traveled to Gatlinburg in celebration of her husband’s parents’ anniversary, and she asked me to go take a few portraits. I jumped at the opportunity to do this because not only was I going to get to go to Gatlinburg, but I was FINALLY going to be able to meet Kimberly face-to-face after these last two years of working with her. And internet let me just say… I fell in love with her family!
When I arrived to their cabin in Gatlinburg, Kimberly had already scoped out a spot for us to shoot. So she immediately took me to the spot and told me that the rest of the family would be down shortly. Five minutes later, twenty-one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met appeared talking about cake or wedgies! HAHA. Seriously… they threatened their children with wedgies if they didn’t cooperate for family photos. But they promised them cake if they did. THEY WERE A HOOT! Luckily for me (and them) every single one of them were perfect! This could not have been an easier session.
Kim thank you for allowing me to meet your beautiful family!
