There are many pressures to being a wedding photographer. The biggest pressure for me is usually the fact that I put a lot of pressure on myself to “get it right.” There is never going to be a do-over if I mess things up. But when I shoot the wedding of another photographer, AND her mother also happens to be a Nashville Wedding Planner… well you can only imagine the speech I was giving myself all day! HAHA. But seriously… I can’t tell you how honored I was to be the photographer for Rosemary Stanton and Christopher Woods!
You may remember the fabulously styled engagement session I shared with you last month. If not you are going to want to check that out. We were super excited to also have that engagement session featured on Le Magnifique!
The flowers for this wedding were simply the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. Belles Fleurs did an amazing job with all of the wedding and reception flowers, but these wedding bouquets speak for themselves. To fit with Rosemary’s 40′s inspired wedding, she asked Belles Fleurs to add all of these vintage broaches to her bouquet. Some of the broaches were handed down through several generations in the family. Belles Fleurs also added touches of rosemary sprigs throughout the bouquet! It was such a personal touch, and simply beautiful!

Rosemary chose to continue adding the 40′s inspired look to her wedding by having her gown custom made by Village Bridal in Green Hills. The gown fell just below the knee and simply looked as though Audrey Hepburn herself were there. And the touch of red with her shoes gave it just the right amount of modern!
Rosemary and Christopher did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so a first look was out of the question. But we had a little fun playing in front of the camera and they teased each other from around a corner… such a super fun couple!

Little Miss Eden, Rosemary’s first and only niece led the two flower girls up the aisle. Eden’s dress was a custom made matching tutu that was left over from Rosemary’s custom made gown, and was also made by Village Bridal in Green Hills.

There was so much pride and emotion on Christopher’s face when he saw his bride stepping into the aisle. And I must say he was looking very dapper in his gorgeous gray tux from Arzelle’s in Nashville.

It was raining all day long on their wedding day, but I never heard anyone complain about it even once. And Emily Humphries of Simply Yours Weddings, the wedding coordinator for Rosemary and Christopher’s wedding, was prepared for anything! When it was time for Rosemary and Christopher to leave the church and head to the reception at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, Emily whipped out this very cute umbrella for them so that they would not get wet as they jumped into their limo.

The wedding decor was absolutely stunning. The flowers, the table linens, the chairs, the crystal, and the napkins… I could go on and on. The Vanderbilt Legends Club was a GORGEOUS venue, and Emily of Simply Yours Weddings did an outstanding job of preparing for everything!

I seriously love the personal touch added of a REAL silhouette of Rosemary and Christopher that was hand drawn by Rosemary’s sister Sarah. And the wedding cake was topped by more flowers by Belles Fleurs. And instead of having a groom’s cake, they brought in MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream to make fresh warm waffle cone cups and ice cream yumminess! The scent of fresh waffle cones filled the air and was a huge hit at the reception!

Rosemary and Christopher provided their guests with a gourmet cheese table from Bloomy Rind in Nashville. These cheeses came from many different creameries in Tennessee including Waynesboro, Sasquatchie, Chattanooga, and The Smoky Mountains! It was decadent and beautiful!
The reception entertainment and decorative lighting was provided by Snyder Entertainment. Brian did an amazing job setting the tone for Rosemary and Christopher’s first dance.

We were able to steal away from the reception for a few minutes to grab some fun shots of Rosemary and Christopher. Rosemary’s personality seriously is addictive. And even though it was raining so I was unable to get outside for the shots I envisioned, I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to take a few shots of them with the burlap flags made by A Butterfly Above.

I can’t tell you how honored I am to have been a part of Rosemary and Christopher’s wedding. Both Rosemary and her mother (Vickie Stanton of Bella Weddings) are a huge part of the wedding industry in Nashville. But the fact that I can actually call them my friend makes my part in this wedding even sweeter.
Congratulations Rosemary and Christopher!
