Memphis Wedding Photographers | Olive Branch, MS Engagement

If you follow me on Facebook, I may have teased you a little with an awesome proposal from this Olive Branch, MS couple. I love the way he proposed, and I have been itching to share their story. Their Mississippi wedding is going to be simply amazing, and I can’t wait!

I had the pleasure of traveling to Olive Branch, Mississippi this weekend to photograph April and Justin’s engagement session. I immediately fell in love with them as well as April’s mom and dad! I was invited into their home and made to feel welcome as though I were a life long friend! I could have stayed with them forever and not tire of them. But let me get to their story!!

He is a police officer. She is a Rodeo Queen! And they are destined! As Justin was on his way to work at 6:00 in the morning, he stopped off at April’s house and tried not to wake her. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and whispered to her to have a good day and that he loved her. As he slipped a ring on her finger and tried to sneak out hoping that she would awake later in confusion, she sat up in the bed and said, “Justin did you just put a ring on my finger?”

He replied, “Yep!”

“Like one of my jewelry rings? Or a for real ring like “the” ring?”

“”The” ring!”

April sat up in bed, rubbed her eyes and was overwhelmed with what she had on her finger. Justin finally said, “Well… are you going to marry me?” April replied with yes, of course. But questioned him as to why he couldn’t have picked a better time to do this when she is not in her pj’s and looking rough! Justin’s answer was perfect! “I figured since I have to wake up to you like this for the rest of my life… why not!”

I’m telling you internet… I MELT! I’m pretty sure this proposal should win some kind of an award or something.
