I remember when I was first getting into photography, I never left home without my camera. I took it with me everywhere! I even carried around a camera bag that looked like a purse because it allowed me to have it with me anywhere, anytime! But somewhere along the way that changed! I’m not sure why! It just did. But it wasn’t until last night that I regretted it.
Peyton had her very first ever ballet and tap class at Dance Works last night! Her smile has never been bigger! Her independence became a little stronger! And her confidence soared like an Eagle! And did I have my camera?!!
NO!!
I am the worst mother in the world! But thank God I had my iPhone. Yes Dance Moms… I was the crazy lady standing up against the viewing window with my cell phone the entire time! But there was no way I was going to miss this moment… even if it meant crappy iPhone shots!
Tonight is gymnastics. And I think I’ll take my real camera!

What kind of photographer/mom are you to NOT take your real camera to dance class? LOL! At least you did have your iPhone! I can’t wait to see gymnastics photos on here tomorrow!
I never take mine anywhere. I don’t want to look like THAT person. Or get the OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH LOOK AT THAT CAMERA! Besides I want to enjoy the process and I take pics at home or after. I don’t need to carry 20lbs of gear to enjoy it.
