A copycat (sort of) restaurant recipe for White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms… Grilled Portabella Mushrooms stuffed with all sorts of yumminess from Longhorn Steakhouse. Seriously internet? I would be happy if this is the only thing I could ever eat for the rest of my life.
Scott and I love to try to recreate yummy recipes of food that we love from restaurants. It is just our thing! It is how he and I bond. It is what we do together at home for quality time. Sometimes we have no idea what ingredients are involved, or even where to start. But the one thing we have discovered is that if all else fails… ADD BACON!
It was date night recently and Scott and I ended up at the new Longhorn Steakhouse that just opened up in Smyrna. I have never been much of a mushroom kind of girl other than eating mushrooms in my spaghetti. But I decided to live a little and give it a try. OH MY GOSH! It was so savory and delicious! So Scott and I did what we do and we ended up at the grocery store a few days later trying to guess the ingredients. We knew it involved white cheddar (duh) because they are called White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms. But other than that we had no idea what to do. SO WE GUESSED!
The flavor of these mushrooms will make you slap your momma! As a matter of fact, I’m tempted to change the name of these to Slap Your Momma Stuffed Mushrooms! Go ahead… Pin the recipe and give it a try. You will not be sorry! OH AND BY THE WAY… Use gluten free breadcrumbs and this recipe is GLUTEN FREE!
