Several weeks ago I shared a story with you about a family of Rottweilers that I played in hand in rescuing. You can read that story here, but I warn you… if you are an animal lover, you are more than likely going to end that read with smoke coming out of your ears. However I feel like some of you may be interested in an update about those Rotties. So put that smoke out, because I love happy endings just like everyone else!
After I fostered the two puppies for a couple of days, a very big hearted lady by the name of Carol Ford from Murfreesboro, TN picked them up from my house and transported them, along with the mommie rottie, all the way to a rescue in Wisconsin called Wisconsin Rottweiler Rescue which is run by Joan Sweeney. Let me just say that it takes a special kind of person to drive that far to make sure a few dogs end up with a good home! PROPS TO YOU MS CAROL!
The puppies and the mommie Rottie are very happy and doing well. The demo dex is clearing up and Ms. Carol informed me that Ms. Joan has already adopted out one of the two puppies to a family with three kids and a rottweiler/shepherd mix. I am so happy that these animals were given a chance at a happy life. Without the help of that local police officer in TN, Operation Education Animal Rescue in Rutherford County, Ms. Carol Ford, and Ms. Joan at Wisconsin Rottweiler Rescue, these animals would have surely died! Suddenly I am hearing a song that my two year old sings after she watches The Wonderpets… “Teeeeeaaaamwork! What’s gonna work? Teeeeeamwork! What’s gonna work? TEAMWORK!” Way to go guys!
